Early Life

A Pass, the second child among seven siblings, embarked on his educational journey in Uganda's capital. He attended Kampala Kindergarten for his nursery education, Nakasero Primary School for his foundational years, and furthered his studies at Mary Land and St. Lawrence Creamland for his secondary education. These formative years laid the foundation for his future artistic endeavors.

The Beginnings of a Musical Odyssey

A Pass's love affair with music started like many others, with his involvement in church activities. However, it was during his school years that he truly honed his talents. In 2003, he took his first step into the world of music, visiting a recording studio for his inaugural studio session. Though he didn't record a song on this occasion, the experience left a profound impact on him.

Several years later, A Pass returned to the studio, encouraged by a friend named Eddy who recognized his potential as a professional musician. This marked the beginning of his musical journey, leading him to establish a close partnership with Dave Dash, known as A Dash at the time. Together, they created a series of memorable songs that resonated with audiences.

Rising Star

In 2011, A Pass's path took a pivotal turn when he crossed paths with video director Lukyamuzi Bashir. Impressed by A Pass's musical prowess during a studio session at South Syde, Bashir took him under his wing. Bashir introduced A Pass to various studios across Uganda and connected him with influential figures in the music industry.

In 2012, A Pass's career received a significant boost when Badi Musik Production, a recording studio in Makindye, was established by BADI. This studio became a cornerstone of A Pass's artistic journey. In 2013, the collaboration resulted in captivating music videos that catapulted A Pass to fame. To this day, A Pass is under the management of LLolypop Entertainment.

A Versatile Artist

A Pass's musical style transcends genres, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of music, including dancehall, reggae, R&B, hip hop, and afro pop. He cites iconic artists like Michael Jackson, Lucky Dude, and UB40 among his influences, shaping his unique sound and lyrical depth.

Throughout his career, A Pass has collaborated with numerous musicians, including A.Y., Goodlyfe, Cinderella Sanyu, and others.
