Bobi Wine Biography

Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, better known as Bobi Wine, is a prominent Ugandan opposition leader, musician, and actor. Born in Nkozi Hospital, he grew up in the Kamwokya slum in the capital city of Kampala. Despite his humble beginnings, Kyagulanyi has risen to become a powerful voice against the autocratic Ugandan regime.

Kyagulanyi's career in music began in the early 2000s under the stage name BobiRob before adopting the name Bobi Wine. Despite the electoral commission announcing Museveni as the winner, Kyagulanyi refused to accept the results, claiming they were fraudulent.

Outside of his music and political career, Kyagulanyi has been involved in various humanitarian initiatives. He has supported projects to improve conditions for the poor, including promoting cleanliness in hospitals, sanitation, and disease prevention. Kyagulanyi has also been a vocal advocate for maternal and child health, partnering with organizations like Save the Children.
