Bowman Aremwaki is a Ugandan artist from Western Uganda who began his musical journey in church, inspired by his mother's choir involvement. In 2020, during the lockdown, he co-founded the music collective Shwento to unite artists from his region. By December 2022, Aremwaki ventured into a solo career, culminating in his 2024 debut EP, "Public Notice," which blends Dancehall, Afrobeats, and R&B. He emphasizes music as a universal language and incorporates his native Kiga and other languages into his songs to connect with diverse audiences. Aremwaki is optimistic about the future of Ugandan and East African music, noting increased investment and global recognition.
