Crysto Panda Biography

Crysto Panda is a multi-talented individual, known for his roles as an emcee, TV personality, and musician in Uganda. He gained fame as the host of the teens' show "T-Nation" on NTV and ventured into the music scene with his chat-topping remix, "Kyoyina Omanya," featuring Sheebah Karungi. However, he also wears the hats of a fashionista, events' organizer, actor, and motivational speaker.

Born as Herbert Kityamuweesi on May 5, 1995, in Kabonera, Masaka district, Uganda, Crysto Panda faced early hardships, including the loss of both his parents. Despite these challenges, he pursued education, attending St Jude Primary School, St Monica SS for O'Level, and St John's SS in Masaka for A'Level. He graduated in 2019 with a Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism from Datamine Technical Business School, where he managed to pay his own tuition and support his three brothers.

The name "Crysto Panda" is derived from "Chances Are Yet Supposed To Be Opened" (Crysto) and a song by American rapper Designer (Panda). His television career began in 2014 when he hosted a school quiz on WBS TV and eventually joined NTV Uganda for "T-Nation." Despite facing initial challenges, he won over the audience and became a two-time Buzz award winner.

In addition to his television work, Crysto Panda is inspired by Douglas Lwanga, a fellow TV personality, who mentored him and connected him to opportunities in the industry. He also ventured into the music industry with the belief in versatility, producing hit songs like "Kyoyina Omanya" and "Ediruma Abayaye."

Crysto Panda has received nominations and awards in the field of teens' TV presenting, including the Teens Favorite TV Presenter at the Buzz Teeniez Awards in 2017 and 2018.

In his personal life, Crysto Panda faced the tragic loss of his baby daughter in 2020, which contributed to the end of his relationship with his girlfriend.

He has been candid about the challenges of the media industry, such as pay disparities, and has defended his position as a host of a teens' show. He is an advocate for healthy competition among TV personalities and believes that it benefits both the artists and the audience.
