Biography

Erica Kate Brown, widely recognized by her stage name Erica K Brown or simply Erica Brown, was born on October 8, 2005, in Uganda. Her musical journey began professionally in 2023 during her S.3 year at St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School in Nsambya.

From an early age, Erica displayed a natural inclination for music, teaching herself to play the piano and craft compelling lyrics. Her soulful voice and heartfelt demos garnered attention, particularly from her father, Mr. Emmanuel J. Brown, and those in her immediate circle, paving the way for her entry into the music industry.

Observing Erica's musical potential, Mr. Brown took a bold step and introduced her to the recording studio. Despite encountering a setback due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the unwavering belief in Erica's talent persisted.

Undeterred by the challenges posed by the pandemic, Mr. Brown encouraged Erica to return to the studio, recognizing her extraordinary vocals, catchy melodies, and unique abilities. Balancing her education in secondary school and her musical aspirations proved to be a challenge, limiting her studio time.

However, on June 15, 2023, Erica Kate Brown's musical journey took a significant turn when her father successfully connected with Manager Apple, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music industry. This meeting marked the true commencement of Erica's career, providing her with opportunities to showcase her talent and establish herself in the industry.

The collaboration between Erica and the renowned hitmaker John Blaq, facilitated by Manager Apple, marked a milestone in her budding career. This promising partnership culminated in the creation of the eagerly anticipated song titled "Call Me," scheduled for release on December 15, 2023.
