Biography

Mutuwa Christine Evelyne, known as Eva Chris, is a rising Ugandan musician, artist, and performer born on December 8, 1995, in Jinja district. Hailing from Namisindwa, formerly Mbale district, she inherited a love for music, showcasing her fluency in Lusoga, Luganda, Swahili, Gishu, and English.

Eva Chris attended MM Primary School and Kiiko Primary School in Kakira, Jinja district, completing her Primary Leaving Examination in 2010. Continuing her education, she pursued O’ level at Mother Keviin SS in 2014 and graduated from Kakira High Sec School with a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) in 2016. Later, she honed her skills in journalism at Busoga Media Institute, complemented by expertise in hotel management and hospitality.

Entering the music scene officially in 2021, Eva Chris gained attention with her debut single, "Ntwala," released under her promotion. In 2023, she joined Awa Talent Management, where she launched another hit, "Ninze Oyo." With enchanting vocals and captivating performances, Eva Chris has become a notable figure in Eastern Uganda's music scene, earning acclaim from both rural and urban audiences. Her unique, soft-toned voice sets her apart, resonating with listeners not only in Busoga and Uganda but also beyond.
