Biography

Irene Namatovu, born in 1987 in Masaka, Uganda, is a talented musician who has made a significant mark in the East African music scene. Although she initially aspired to become a lawyer, her musical talents led her on a different path.

In 2011, Irene introduced her husband, the musician Geofrey Lutaya, to her hometown of Masaka. They have three children together - Pius Sonko, Patra Nambatya, and Precious Nabulya, all sharing the family name Lutaaya.

Irene Namatovu's musical journey has been impressive, with over seven albums to her name. Each album contains more than six songs, with both audio and video versions. Her dedication to her craft and the quality of her work have earned her a loyal fan base in East Africa.

Irene's aspirations extend beyond her home region. She aims to take her music to East Africa and, potentially, worldwide. To help her achieve this goal, she collaborates with her promoter, Musa Kavuma, who plays a crucial role in expanding her reach and influence.
