Irene Namatovu, born in 1987 in Masaka, Uganda, is a talented musician who has made a significant mark in the East African music scene. Although she initially aspired to become a lawyer, her musical talents led her on a different path.
In 2011, Irene introduced her husband, the musician Geofrey Lutaya, to her hometown of Masaka. They have three children together - Pius Sonko, Patra Nambatya, and Precious Nabulya, all sharing the family name Lutaaya.
