Niwabo Belinda, professionally known as Kin Bella, is an Afrobeat and dancehall singer-songwriter hailing from Uganda. Her notable career milestone came in 2023 with the release of 'Nkuwe', a collaborative single featuring B.E.T award winner Eddy Kenzo.
Kin Bella grew up in the Wandegeya police barracks, where she shared a close bond with her childhood friend, Atuke, also known as "2K". Music played a significant role in Bella's life as a coping mechanism during challenging times at the barracks, notably following the loss of her biological father. Her passion for music frequently led her to spend evenings in music clubs and bars during her teenage years, often returning home late into the night. This upbringing, marked by resilience, laid the groundwork for her eventual pursuit of a career in music.
Her association with Masters Music marked her initial foray into the music industry. While initially perceived as being signed to the label, it was later revealed that no official documents were signed, and her engagement was primarily centered around rehearsals.
A pivotal moment in her career transpired when she crossed paths with Eddy Kenzo at his studio, Big Talent Entertainment. Kenzo's appreciation for Bella's work led to the collaboration on 'Nkuwe', a track that was recorded in 2022 and released a year later due to logistical reasons.
Kin Bella has released several other songs including Banatusangayo, Tondabisa, Gunsitula, More, and Kyewesunga.
