Legit Wo Biography

Abas Imran, known by his stage name Legit Wo, is a talented Ugandan singer and songwriter. He was born on November 23, 2002, in Kiryandongo District, Uganda, and spent his formative years in Kenya, where he completed his primary education.

Legit Wo's musical journey began with inspiration drawn from prominent artists like Fik Fameica and Diamond Platinum. In 2020, he made his initial mark in the music industry with the release of his debut single, "Kiuno Changu," which garnered considerable attention in Kiryandongo District. This early success earned him the affectionate moniker "Da East African Boy" due to his adept use of Swahili in his music.

Following the success of "Kiuno Changu," Legit Wo released "Sikuta" in the same year, a song that quickly became a fan favorite. In January 2021, he unveiled "Jere," meaning "I'm running," further expanding his growing repertoire. In February of the same year, he collaborated with the renowned promoter and radio presenter Power Bank/MC Izo on a track titled "Nyenya."

Legit Wo continued to make waves in the music scene with subsequent releases, including "Don't Go," and another collaborative effort with Hash titled "Fall for You." His dedication and musical talent have established him as a promising artist in the East African music landscape.
