Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, known as Navio, born on October 18, 1983, is a Ugandan rapper and record producer. He gained prominence as part of the award-winning hip hop group Klear Kut, coining the term "Ugaflow" for Uganda's hip hop scene. Navio's solo career boasts hits like "Ngalo," "Bugumu," "One & Only," and "On and On" with Keith Sweat.
Since 2010, Navio has been part of the African supergroup One8 with artists like 2Face and Fally Ipupa. He featured in the second season of "Coke Studio Africa" in 2014. Born to engineer Daniel Serwano Kigozi and Dr. Maggie Kigozi, Navio grew up immersed in rap music, forming Klear Kut at 16. The group's debut album, "Mind, Body and Soul," marked their success, pioneering Ugandan hip hop.
Navio briefly left for South Africa but returned in 2008, releasing his debut solo album, "Half the Legend," in 2009. He blends African and international sounds, earning critical acclaim and awards, including Best Hip hop Artist at the Pearl of Africa Music Awards.
