Biography

oseph Ngooma, born in Uganda, is a renowned gospel singer, songwriter, and worshipper. Raised in Namalere, Bombo Road, by a single mother alongside five siblings, he faced hardships from a young age due to his father's absence during a civil war. Despite growing up in poverty, Ngooma pursued his passion for music, finding inspiration in his faith after embracing Christianity in 2001.

His journey in music began with humble beginnings, composing songs for church choirs while doing odd jobs to support his family. In 2009, he recorded his breakthrough single "Gwe Byonna," which catapulted him into the spotlight. With hits like "Oli Mulaba" and "Yegwe Munange," Ngooma quickly rose to prominence in the Ugandan gospel music scene.

His lyrical content, reflecting his personal struggles and unwavering faith, resonated with audiences, earning him accolades such as a nomination for Best Gospel Artiste/Group at the PAM Awards and winning the Best Kadongo Kamu Song for "Yegwe Munange" at the 2014 VIGA Awards.
