Biography

Nina Kankunda, widely recognized by her stage name "Nina Roz," is a multifaceted talent encompassing singing, songwriting, and modeling. She was born in the vibrant city of Kampala, specifically in the Kibuli Mutajazi neighborhood, to her mother, a successful businesswoman named Lucy Mbabazi, and her father, Hajji Gitta Salongo. Nina's childhood was immersed in the world of music, thanks to her family's strong musical inclination.

Nina Roz's heritage is a blend of Western Ugandan and Rwandese roots, giving her a unique cultural background that she draws inspiration from in her artistry. Her educational journey commenced at St. Stephen's COU Primary School and continued through Kakungulu Secondary School before she enrolled at Trinity College Mityana for her higher education.

She later pursued her academic aspirations at The International University of East Africa, majoring in business administration. However, during her second year, unforeseen circumstances prompted her to shift her focus towards her true passion: music. Nina Roz is unwavering in her determination to succeed in the music industry, pledging to persevere until she attains the recognition she deserves.
