Biography

Oma Afrikana, originally known as Kafeero Umar, was born in the vicinity of Bweyogerere, a suburb of Kampala city. His educational journey began at Bweyogerere Unique Public School for his primary education, after which he pursued his high school education at Bukooli College.

Oma Afrikana is a highly versatile music artist who excels in various genres, including reggae, dancehall, and R&B. Furthermore, he possesses exceptional songwriting skills and has contributed his talents to numerous artists across the country.

His career in commercial music took off in 2017 with the release of "Kilomidi," a track that garnered significant attention and extensive airplay across the region. His exceptional talent led to an invitation to perform at the prestigious Runtown Experience show in Kigali in mid-2017.
