Born in the Central region of Uganda, specifically in the town of Mityana within the Mubende district, Princess Amirah's early education took place in Mityana. Her primary schooling was followed by enrollment at Mityana Modern Secondary School for her ordinary level education. Due to financial constraints, she transitioned to St. Charles Secondary School, completing her studies up to senior four. Unfortunately, she had to discontinue her education during mock exams due to insufficient funds.
Facing the challenge of shaping her future, Princess Amirah embarked on a journey to sustain herself. Determined to overcome obstacles, she sought employment in various restaurants. Fortuitously, she secured a position that paid 1,000 shillings per day, involving early morning dishwashing.
While balancing odd jobs, Princess Amirah pursued songwriting as a hobby. The realization of wanting to sell her compositions prompted her move to Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Armed with savings from her restaurant job, she arrived in Kampala to explore opportunities in the music industry.
Navigating the unfamiliar terrain of the city, Princess Amirah encountered difficulties in selling her songs, lacking the necessary connections and studio access. Undeterred, she revisited familiar territory, seeking employment in restaurants and leveraging her prior experience.
Through various interviews, she secured positions serving food and washing dishes, enabling her to finance her endeavors. Expanding her entrepreneurial spirit, Princess Amirah ventured into clothing sales, utilizing funds from her restaurant job to purchase inventory. Subsequently, she entered the stationery business before finally making a decisive foray into the music industry.
During her journey, Princess Amirah crossed paths with Ugandan musician Chris Evans, a pivotal encounter that led to her connection with the individual who would become her manager, overseeing her music career. With his guidance, Princess Amirah has released numerous successful songs, including "Ensonga" and "Asookya," solidifying her presence in the Ugandan music scene.
