Stecia Mayanja Biography

Stecia Mayanja, also known as Faridah, is a versatile Ugandan artist, encompassing roles as an actress, musician, and member of the Golden Band. Initially part of Eagles Production Band, which later transformed into the Golden Band, Stecia eventually embarked on a solo music career. Singing in both Luganda and English, her notable tracks include "Equalizer," "Game Over," and "Kawompo."

In the realm of acting, Stecia has made her mark with appearances in productions like "The Honourables" (2017) and her own project, "Stecia and the House Girl."

On a personal note, Stecia Mayanja was once legally married to Abbas Mubiru, based in Dubai. However, her romantic journey took a turn, leading to an intimate relationship with her manager at Golden Band, Bashir Bogere. Despite her talent, she faced challenges with the band directors, who showed less interest in her work for a period.

Stecia's discography showcases a range of albums, including "Mulamuzi" (2015), "Figure" (2016), and the recent "Alintwala" (2022). Her list of singles boasts hits like "Kantinti," "Equalizer," and "Kabalagala."
