Zulanda Biography

Zulanda, born Julius James Baker Ssembuusi Zulanda, is a 27-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-talented artist known for hits like "Mukwano gwo" and "My Car." Raised in Masaka and later moving to Kampala in 1997, Zulanda hails from a humble family of nine siblings.

With a diverse skill set, Zulanda is not only an accomplished singer but also an excellent songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer. He gained recognition as Swangz Avenue's songwriter in 2009, contributing to hits like "He go down" and "Nkubukinze."

Zulanda's educational journey took him to Blessed Sacrament Primary School, Kimaanya, St Joseph’s SS Naggalama for O’Level, and Kisubi High School for A’Level. He pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Computing at Kampala University in 2011.

Beyond music, Zulanda is involved in farming, particularly Eucalyptus tree planting and coffee growing in Masaka. He is set to launch 'Zuwear,' a clothing line, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Zulanda lends his writing and vocal talents to commercial adverts, including Ann Kansiime’s Gotv advert and the Snow Paint advert. Despite his busy schedule, Zulanda enjoys reading, sleeping, and playing Rugby, having played professionally with Pirates Rugby Club.

Single and childless, Zulanda's calm demeanor is only disrupted when someone messes with his family. His favorite dish is G.Nuts (Luwombo) and Matooke. If not a musician, Zulanda envisions himself as a sports enthusiast, reflecting his passion for sports and Rugby
