Zulitums Biography

Sam Ssemwogerere, better known by his stage name Zulitums, is a Ugandan music artist and music producer. Born on March 3rd in the Lukumbi Nakaseke district of Uganda, Zulitums spent his formative years surrounded by his siblings and family. He embarked on his educational journey in Kampala, Uganda, which laid the foundation for his later music career.

Zulitums attended Kamwokya Islamic Primary School, where he completed his Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). His academic pursuits then led him to Kololo Secondary School, where he earned his Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) for his Ordinary level education. He continued his studies at the same institution, ultimately receiving his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) after completing his A-level education.

However, it was in the world of music that Zulitums truly found his calling. He initially delved into music production in 2015, honing his craft under the guidance of fellow Ugandan producers. As he gained experience and expertise in the field, he eventually opened his own studio.

Zulitums' journey as an artist officially began in 2011 when he first ventured into singing. However, it wasn't until May 27, 2020, that he released his debut song, titled "Tabu." This song quickly made waves, climbing to the impressive position of number 3 on the list of top songs of the month in June. This marked the beginning of a promising musical career.

One of Zulitums' significant achievements came with the release of his debut album, "Invictus," in 2020. This album made an immediate impact, debuting at number one on Apple Music and maintaining that position for four consecutive weeks. "Invictus" has continued to enjoy enduring success, remaining in the top 100 albums in Uganda since its debut in 2020, a testament to its lasting appeal. In February 2022, the album once again claimed the number one spot, solidifying Zulitums' status as one of Uganda's top-selling digital artists.

Notably, Zulitums' musical prowess extends beyond his own tracks. Before becoming a prominent singer, he established himself as a renowned producer. One of his notable contributions in this role includes his work on the hit song "Boom Party" by Cindy.

In December 2019, Zulitums inked a significant deal with the Nigerian record label, Blacq Avay, which operates in Uganda. This partnership allowed him the creative space to craft his iconic debut album, "Invictus," which would go on to become one of the most popular albums of 2020.
