Christopher Evans Kaweesi's early life was marked by challenges. Born to Christopher Kakooza, a construction worker, and Mrs. Kakooza, a housewife, he lost his mother in infancy and his father when he was about 13 or 14 years old. To support his elementary and middle school education, Kaweesi took up various menial jobs at construction sites and at school.
Despite the hardships, he excelled in his O-Level examinations, achieving an impressive score of 14 points in 8 subjects (with the best possible score being 8). His A-Level education was made possible by the sponsorship of his paternal uncle, who enrolled him at St. Mary's Boarding Secondary School, Kitende, a reputable residential mixed high school located in Kajjansi, off the Kampala-Entebbe Road. At Kitende, Kaweesi focused on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with Mathematics as a minor subject.
Kaweesi's journey continued as he earned admission to Makerere University on a Uganda Government scholarship to study Agriculture. While he initially enrolled and attended classes, he ultimately chose to embark on a different path. Utilizing his connections at the university, he transitioned into the music industry and commenced his successful musical career.
