Rising star Ava Peace would rather you don’t compare her with the legendary Sheebah Karungi, even though it looks like she’s following the exact same path the latter did.
Following Sheebah’s exit from Jeff Kiwa‘s Team No Sleep (TNS) music label, the iconic music manager went on a search for talented female artists to fill the void. The first artist to be signed to the label was Pinky, but she would later leave after a few number number 1 hit songs. Kiwa also signed Nina Roz, who is by far the most successful in the group of Nandor Love, Jowy Landa, Ava Peace, and many others.
Ava Peace has often been compared to Sheebah with fans claiming the ‘Shabada’ hit maker sings and dresses like the latter. Peace, during a recent interview, said she did not want to be compared with Sheebah and that she’s only looking to be better at her own craft and perhaps be a better version of Sheebah.
“I can’t be another Sheebah, but I can be a better one. I signed with Jeff Kiiwa to help me with my career and not to compete with anyone but to be a better person,” she responded to questions about emulating “Sheebah Karungi.”
