Bettinah Tianah, born Betty Nassali on 10 November 1993, is a Ugandan multi-talented personality known for her work as a television presenter, actress, model, and fashionista.
Bettinah kick-started her career at a young age when she joined NBS Television as the host of a youth-focused program called Youth Voice. Her natural talent and charisma caught the attention of audiences, establishing her as a promising television personality. In 2015, she took over the role of host for the matchmaking show Be My Date on NTV Uganda, succeeding Anita Fabiola. Her ability to connect with viewers and create an engaging atmosphere made her a beloved figure in the Ugandan entertainment scene.
Additionally, Tianah showcased her fashion expertise by hosting a popular fashion show called The Style Project from 2017 to March 2022. During her tenure, she shared her knowledge and insights into the world of fashion, leaving a lasting impact on viewers. In March 2022, she made the decision to resign from the show to focus on her own business venture, BT Beauty Uganda. This move reflected her entrepreneurial spirit and determination to pursue her passions beyond the realm of television.
In the acting realm, Tianah marked her debut with a significant role in the popular Ugandan television series The Hostel. Portraying the character of Rhona, a "bad girl," she demonstrated her versatility as an actress. The series gained widespread recognition, and Tianah's portrayal added depth and intrigue to the show's final season.
Tianah's talent and appeal transcended television, leading her to notable opportunities in other domains. She made history as the first Ugandan to host the red carpet event at the UNAA Convention in Washington D.C., showcasing her hosting skills on an international stage. Her modeling career also flourished when she signed with the Creative Industries Group in 2017. She even had the chance to partake in her first photoshoot in Paris, cementing her presence in the fashion world.
Outside of her professional achievements, Tianah has pursued education to complement her career endeavors. She holds a degree in journalism from Cavendish University. Prior to this, she had enrolled in a degree program for Human Resources Management at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) but opted to drop out in pursuit of a journalism career.
