Alien Skin has publicly criticized the establishment of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), expressing skepticism about its formation and reiterating his stance on the matter.

Despite his reservations, the singer has taken a proactive step by requesting a meeting with the UNMF President, Eddy Kenzo, to seek a better understanding of the federation's aims and objectives.

In an interview with Galaxy TV, Alien Skin shared his desire to engage directly with Kenzo, believing he is the right person to provide a detailed briefing about the federation's formation and its goals as a leading representative.

"I think it's time to ask all these questions to Kenzo. He is responsible, and we shouldn't be criticizing all these musicians; it's better we go head to head with Kenzo," Alien Skin asserted during the interview.

The primary concern expressed by Alien Skin revolves around the expected funds from the Central government. The musician is particularly vocal about his belief that UNMF plans to secure these resources for the benefit of themselves and not that of the artists and entertainers in Uganda.

The Uganda National Musicians Federation, with Eddy Kenzo serving as President and Sheebah as Vice President, was established with the aim of supporting artists and entertainers in realizing fair remuneration for their copyrighted music and creative works by advocating for the protection of intellectual property rights.

Sheebah has particularly asserted that the federation aims to create a more conducive environment for musicians to flourish and thrive, and that the UNMF will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the interests of artists and ensuring they receive due recognition and compensation for their artistic contributions.
